I’m Morgan and I love to bake! Putting on music, or a favorite movie, while creating in the kitchen is a relaxing day for me. It’s exciting to tackle a new recipe, something that looks way beyond my skills, then have it actually look good and taste great.
I grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana eating great Southern food. Sugar and fat…you can’t beat it. I learned a lot about cooking from my Mom and Grandmothers. Each had something a little different to teach me…Mom, amazing cinnamon toast and pot roast; Nana, buttermilk biscuits; Mamaw, fried chicken and chocolate fudge. So many great recipes and great memories.
I was in the film and TV industry for almost 20 years in Los Angeles, then got into auto racing media five years ago. I live in the Atlanta area now and travel a couple of times a month during the season. One of the best parts of traveling is trying out new restaurants with colleagues. There’s nothing like having a great meal after a long day at the track.
When not at the track, I’m running my home baking business along with my professional taste tester, Zu (and my two black kitties, Archimedes and Figment). Nothing gets by Zu. He has a very refined palette. Thanks for stopping by!
